I was having a conversation on the weekend about old trends when someone brought up face swapping. Remember it? It was funny for about a month, then it went away.

It was creepy more than it was funny and I have two examples of that.

My brother and his family had caricatures done up and they hung the finished product up in their house. This was at the peak of the whole face swap fad so it went over really well. But I have family that still brings up how this picture still haunts them more than the ghost my kid was talking to on the stairs at the house, but that’s another story.

A few years later I ordered a sweater that has Nic Cage’s face on it. That’s it. I’ve shared a picture of it previous blogs. Well, it had a face so I figured I’d give it a go and see if the swap would work. Well, low and behold, it did, and it’s far creepier than the first one I shared.

It really made me feel like I was in one of the greatest movies from the 90’s!
