Dear friends, countrymen, and golfers. Especially golfers.
As resident golf junkie at X929, I’ve been presented with an amazing opportunity. The kind people at Columbia Valley Golf Trail asked if I’d be interested in playing a few rounds at some of their many courses and sharing the experience with you. Naturally, I said yes. What they don’t know is that I have played nearly all of the courses on the Columbia Valley Golf Trail and have been saying wonderful things about them to all my friends for free for many years now. But hey… why look a gift horse in the mouth?
After work today, I will take the beautiful drive into the Rockies, turn left at Castle Junction, and follow HWY 93 until I come out at Radium Hot Springs. From there, it’s a quick twirl to Eagle Ranch for an afternoon tee time.
You see what I’m saying, party people? I’m going to blow off the week’s stress (or whatever) on the drive, show up at Eagle Ranch Resort about three hours later, and enjoy one of the best courses the province of BC has to offer. I’ve played it before and I can’t wait to play it again. To be honest, if you’re looking for a great test of golf and awesome conditions, this will suit you just fine. Having said that, it’s a really fun track for hackers like me. So thanks the Andrea and Stephen for the invite. Check this link for a web cam at Eagle Ranch Resort. It’ll make you sick from snowy ol’ Calgary.
Tomorrow, I get to play Copper Point. They have two courses there. Check this space on Monday morning and I’ll let you know which track I played. I haven’t played it before and am excited to hit around at a new course. I’ll also let you know what I think of the resort at Copper Point. They’ve been kind enough to offer me a place to lay my head between rounds.
Oh yeah… this is a guys’ weekend, so I’ll keep you apprised of any shenanigans a few can get up to along the Columbia Valley Golf Trail.
Thanks for reading. I’m very excited about sharing this stuff with you all. As you know, I’m absolutely nuts about golf and love golfing in the the CVGT. They open about a month before the snow melts in Calgary and they offer great value for amazing golf courses in a majestic setting. If you’ve never played it or even heard about it, I highly recommend you check out www.columbiavalleygolftrail.com
This one still impresses us…
I wonder how he feels about his tiny baby bits being displayed all over the world, and the topic of controversy. Hmmm….
Nasa scientists say that by Friday, a satellite will hit earth. Your chances of getting hit with some shrapnel? 1 in 3200. I don’t like those odds. No sir, I don’t. NASA says the debris footprint could stretch about 500 miles – and to make things more exciting for ya, scientists say the satellite will break into 26 pieces as it gets closer to our planet.
You know what? I ain’t going out like dat. (Heck yeah. I just went there).
Found this online. List of the worst dressed cities in theworld. Interesting.
10 ~ Jersey Shore (goes without saying!)
9~ Pittsburgh (Sports wear. EVERYWHERE).
8~ Ottawa (Really?)
7~ San Fransisco & Silicon Valley (I guess this area has the biggest concentration of nerds. I think nerds are sexy, so I disagree with this).
6~ Seattle (Grunge. Flannel.)
5~ Boston (Khaki’s with pleats and boatshoes with socks. A common offense).
4~ Harajuku, Japan (Thanks Gwen Stephani. Thanks a lot.)
3~ Vancouver (MSN said this. Not me! Because of Vancouver, Yoga pants are being worn everywhere – even by women who SHOULDN’T be wearing them.)
2~ Maui (Hawaiian shirts. Nuff’ said.)
1~ Orlando (Yeah, I was shocked by this one too. Why? Overweight tourists, GAP t-shirts and denim shorts, and that damn disney apparel).
It’s all in the title. It’s bothy sexy and keeps your noggin warm. I’m a sucker for a man in a slouchy toque. Nice. Even if you’re mediocre looking, the slouchy toque will increase your hotness factor.
This on the other hand, not so much…
